Course Content:
This course covers the roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider. This course meets the requirements of the First Aid Regulations 1981 (as amended 2018)
Who should attend:
This qualification is for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide basic first aid to people in a range of emergency first aid situations
Learning objectives:
At the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- CPR and AED use
- Recovery Position
- Provide First Aid treatment in relation to Choking, Seizures, Shock, wounds, external bleeding, Cuts, grazes, bruises, minor burns and scalds
Assessment:
Delegates will be required to participate and complete all assessment activities and complete small examination paper.
